Utube Sues YouTube

This is a piece of odd news, but Utube, a pipe manufacturer founded 10 years before YouTube, is suing YouTube. The cause? Apparently, people mistype Youtube as Utube so frequently that their servers have crashed several times. Utube has been swamped by traffic since the Google acquisition. Check out the spike in traffic. This is some crazy stuff.

n industrial equipment maker whose domain name is Utube.com is suing video-sharing site YouTube Latest News about YouTube, saying user confusion has cost it business and forced it to invest in more robust servers for its Web site. Universal Tube & Rollform Equipment said it has been forced to move its Web servers multiple times and has experienced numerous crashes of its site due to traffic intended for the viral video site, which Google (Nasdaq: GOOG) Latest News about Google has agreed to purchase for US$1.65 billion.
